Wall of Honor was launched from a conversation about respect and honor for the great men and women who made the bold and courageous decision to serve our country and our communities.
The Wall of Honor story begins with a Vietnam veteran returning home from war. As he landed in America his commanding officer instructed him to change into civilian clothes because he would likely be spit on and harassed by the American public. That stuck with him for many years and as an older man he decided to find a way to give his fellow veterans the recognition and thanks that many of them had never received. From that, the Wall of Honor has slowly taken shape and grown into the community-focused nonprofit it is today. In just three years the Wall of Honor has touched the lives of more than 3,000 honorees and has grown to 140+ display locations in every corner of North Dakota.
The Wall of Honor Board of Directors
The Wall of Honor Board of Directors is comprised of a volunteer group of North Dakotans who believe in our Mission to honor those who have served in their communities, state and country. Many of them have served and are veterans, active military or first responders themselves.
